The critically acclaimed Sklar Brothers manage to mix sports and comedy in a warm and upbeat way that is wildly entertaining and accessible for sports fans and non fans alike.

Now Magazine’s Best of Toronto Comedy 2013:

“Identical twin comics and sportscasters Jason and Randy Sklar presided over the Comedy Bar for a series of sold-out shows, entertaining with their beautifully paced routines – rhythms like jazz! – about unironic mullets, fairy tale sequels and hipster hotel service. And even though I’m not a sports fan, their Sklarbro Country podcast with guests Paul Osbaldiston and Jay Onrait had me howling. Quite a feat.”

In 2014 they released their latest hit stand up special “What Are We Talking About” on Netflix. This is in addition to their two previous stand up specials for Comedy Central.

The Sklars are both regulars on @Midnight, and have also appeared on Conan, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, and more. Their long running podcast “Sklarbro Country” has been one of the most popular series on the Earwolf Network since its debut in 2010.

New York Times: “Their comedy accepts the reality of being twins but does not use it as a crutch. Instead, they work with their physical and mental similarities and correspondences, their status as imperfect carbon copies of each other. In their comedy, the straight man is often an echo.”

Bio:

Randy and Jason Sklar began as one zygote and later guest starred in many TV shows, including an Emmy Award winning episode of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, the FX hit “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, as well as Adult Swim’s Childrens’ Hospital, and most recently on the USA Network’s critically acclaimed, Playing House.

They starred as conjoined twins in a memorable episode of Grey’s Anatomy and as warring agents on HBO’s Entourage. Of the Entourage episode, Entertainment Weekly television critic Paul Katz wrote of their turn, “in the hands of comedic masters, The Sklar Brothers, they made it soar.”

They’ve also appeared in such films as Touchstone’s, Wild Hogs, and Fox Atomic’s, The Comebacks. Most recently, they co-starred in the popular Netflix movie, Teacher Of the Year, alongside Keegan Michael Key, Larry Joe Campbell and Jamie Kaler.
As stand up comedians, they recorded their second half hour Comedy Central Presents in November 2009 and it premiered in March of 2010. The Onion A.V. Club named their third comedy CD, Hendersons And Daughters in their Top 10 Comedy albums of 2011.

In 2014, they recorded and released a one hour stand up special and album titled, The Sklar Brothers: What Are We Talking About on Netflix to rave reviews.

And Neil Strausse of the New York Times said of the Sklars, “Their comedy accepts the reality of being twins but does not use it as a crutch. Instead,” noted Strauss, “they work with their physical and mental similarities and correspondences, their status as imperfect carbon copies of each other. In their comedy, the straight man is often an echo.”

The Sklar Brothers appear monthly on Showtime’s, Jim Rome On Showtime in their regular segment, Sklarred For Life, where they take a humorous look at the past month in sports. And in February of 2015, they shot Just Saying, a weekly sports comedy pilot for Comedy Central with Adam McKay and Will Ferrell’s production company, Gary Sanchez.

Randy and Jason currently reside in Los Angeles, where they record their popular weekly sports comedy podcasts Sklarbro Country and Sklarbro County for earwolf.com.
